Looking for an opportunity to make a difference to your Cape Cod Community?
Daily we read about our collective challenges on Cape Cod – opiate addiction, homelessness, lack of affordable housing.
At Duffy Health Center, our mission is to address these issues head on – our goal is to improve the quality of life for vulnerable populations through community collaborations, leadership, and advocacy.
We reach populations in need through our comprehensive, integrated model of providing health care – medical, mental health and substance use disorder treatment, and case management – targeting our neighbors experiencing or at risk of homelessness due to structural and personal barriers. Each year, our treatment programs reduce the personal pain and societal consequences of mental illness and addiction, our doctors and nurses help our patients learn to live healthier lives despite chronic medical conditions, and our case managers support people with multiple challenges to find and keep housing.
Duffy Health Center is seeking talented, committed individuals to serve on our Board of Directors and/or governance committees. Our board members come from a variety of professional backgrounds, and are passionate about our work. Whatever your background or skill set, involvement as a Duffy volunteer provides an opportunity to give back, understand the value of the not-for-profit sector, and it’s a great way to build your network.
Duffy Health Center is committed to creating and maintaining a diverse constituency. We actively encourage volunteers from minority racial and ethnic backgrounds, as well as historically marginalized groups. This includes but is not limited to LGBTQ persons and people with lived experiences of homelessness or recovery from substance use disorder.
