Full Time, 40 hrs./week
 
The Recovery Coach (RC) will provide peer recovery support services to patients with substance use disorder (SUD) and will assist patients in achieving and sustaining recovery as defined by each individual patient. This position will facilitate patient access to recovery-oriented substance use disorder treatment, resources, and community recovery groups and must identify as a female. 
 
Education and Licenses Required: Demonstrates ability to maintain 2 years of sustained and uninterrupted recovery at time of hire required; 3-5 years of sustained and uninterrupted recovery preferred. Must have a Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC) certification or willing to obtain and have been working in substance use disorder treatment for a minimum of 1 year, required, 2 years preferred. A candidate for this position must have a valid driver’s license and own transportation.

The Outreach Case Manager II is responsible for acting as a bridge between the community, the health center, and other community service providers. This person is a trusted worker who is respected by the people they serve and applies their own unique understanding of the experience, socio-economic needs, language, and/or culture of the communities served.
 
A candidate for this position must have a master’s level education and/or LADAC and at least two years’ experience working with the targeted population; must have a valid driver’s license and own transportation.

The Recovery Coach assists pregnant and postpartum women in finding and maintaining a personalized and enhanced pathway to recovery from drug and/or alcohol substance use disorder, assists with education and access to Medication Assisted Treatment options, and supports women in enhancing skills and capacity to retain recovery/decrease relapse. The Recovery Coach assists staff/team members in the navigation of the individual’s journey. The Recovery Coach serves a unique function within the recovery continuum.

The Patient Access Representative is responsible for providing administrative and clerical duties. Work includes responding to requests for information and assistance from patients and providers, scheduling appointments, verifying information, processing referrals, collecting and recording data, maintaining and updating records and files, and facilitating patient care.

A candidate for this position must have a High School diploma or equivalent, with advanced training in Medical Terminology, and at least two (2) years of experience in office administration; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with an EHR system (electronic health record) specifically Epic and/or ECW ; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates with knowledge of public health insurance eligibility practices (i.e. MassHealth), are urged to apply.

This position is responsible for providing skilled nursing care. Work includes providing triage care, patient education, care management and recording patient medical history using electronic medical records. Assist providers in patient care as requested, including injections.
 
A candidate for this position must have at least a nursing degree or further; and one (1) to three (3) years of experience in a community health center; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of MA, and successfully complete the credentialing process.

The Safety and Security Specialist promotes the mission of Duffy Health Center by supporting a trauma-informed, calm environment to help ensure the safety and security of clients and staff within and outside the facility. The SSS will provide a compassionate and welcoming presence primarily in the health center reception area while interacting with and assisting patients and visitors.

The position is ‘the face of Duffy” and one which requires superb people skills, judgement, and the ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary team members. The SSS will independently interact and establish a positive rapport with a culturally diverse population that may be experiencing homelessness, substance use disorders and mental illness. Evidence-based training will be provided; experience with vulnerable and marginalized persons is preferred.

A candidate for this position must have a High School diploma. Education or experience in the human services field preferred.

The Connections Case Manager is responsible for processing eligibility for insurance for patients and clients at Duffy Health Center. Work includes ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of information received, researching, and solving problems, explaining scope of services available and providing resources and guidance where needed. Work also includes conducting patient interviews and assessing patient needs, advocating for patients, coordinating with community groups, state and federal agencies, and local organizations to assist patients in obtaining health insurance and other appropriate social services, resources, and assistance.

A candidate for this position must have a High School Diploma or GED. At least 1-2 years’ experience working with health insurance, either in a medical front desk position or billing position, is preferred. Prior case management experience is helpful but not required.

The Medical Assistant is responsible for preparing patients for appointments with medical providers. Work includes, checking vital signs, collecting specimens for testing, performing initial health screening/assessments, performing routine tests, updating health and medical information, coordinating prescription call-ins to pharmacies for doctors, scheduling appointments and providing general information and assistance.
 
A candidate for this position must have a High School diploma or equivalent, and advanced training (certification), with at least two (2) years of experience in an internal medicine office setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
 

Full Time, 40 hrs./week

The accountant is responsible for assisting in the management and the administration of accounting functions including acting as a backup, if needed, to the accountant staff and, if needed, assisting the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). As needed, the position will work in the SAGE general ledger, accounts payable, payroll and grant accounting systems and modules at Duffy. The position is one that demands some flexibility in focus and tasks as the pace of change in grant administration can be somewhat unpredictable. 

At minimum, an Associate Degree in Accounting. BS/BA in Accounting is preferred. Experience of at least five (5) years in general ledger/grant accounting in a community health center or in a health care provider will be seriously considered in lieu of more formal advanced training, as will accounting experience in a similar not-for-profit environment.
