Santa’s Elves are at it again at Duffy. Please consider helping the staff and board at Duffy make the holidays a little brighter for our neighbors in need across Cape Cod. We are asking for donations of small items such as gift cards to discount clothing stores, dollar stores, Regal Cinemas, as well as toiletries, wallets, pocket calendars, t-shirts, slippers, or other personal objects that could brighten one of our client’s holidays. Last year a client told case manager Cathy Finn with great emotion, “If it wasn’t for this gift, I would not have received anything at all this year.”
Last fiscal year Duffy treated more than 3,200 patients for a total of 29,912 appointments. Many of Duffy’s clients have no family to spend the holidays with.
Perhaps you can start a collection at your office, church or school? It’s a simple and inexpensive way to make a lasting impression on those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in our community.
If you would like to volunteer to collect items as a part of your community organization or school, contact Elyse at edegroot@duffyhealthcenter.org or call 508-771-7517 ext. 104.
Please drop off items no later than December 15th as the Elves need a little time to get everything wrapped and delivered. Items will be collected at the reception desk in the lobby of Duffy Health Center, 94 Main Street Hyannis, Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Thanks in advance for your help!
